Sunrise over the sea of Cortez is magical. We have an early breakfast and hit the trail. The terrain starts to increase in difficulty at this point. up into the mountains to Mikes Sky Ranch for an afternoon snack. We proceed toward Rancho El Coyote. This 18 mile stretch is very challenging. You will be using all the tools in your 4wd kit. You will need to have some experience and we recommend 33 inch tires as a minimum for this run. When we arrive at the ranch we are greeted to a family style farm fresh dinner, and we retire to our cabanas for a well earned siesta.
We rise to breakfast and coffee at the ranch. We have a leisurely morning, then hit the trail down toward the Pacific Ocean. One of our favorite trails in Baja. This trail has it all, big views, slot canyons, hill climbs, river crossings, farmland, and small villages. We arrive that afternoon at the Pirate bar for a nice afternoon margarita. We take the dirt up the coast to Cuatro Casas where we have a big dinner, nice firepit time and reflect on our "coast to coast" journey.
The sounds of the sea craching on the rocks below will be your wake up call. Hot coffee and breakfast served. We enjoy he morning then mount up and hit the trail north along the ocean. We storm the beach and soak in the last bit of fun before it's back to reality.
